Jarvis Hayes is giving the Detroit Pistons solid production off of the bench

Jarvis Hayes is giving the Pistons just what they expected him to as he’s been solid off of the bench this season. Hayes has played in 33 games this season for the Pistons and he is averaging 17.6 minutes, 7.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He also is shooting really well as he is hitting 45.5% of his shots from the floor and 43.2% from three point range so far this season. Hayes is good enough to start if the Pistons run into any injury problems the rest of the season.

The Detroit Pistons trade center Nazr Mohammed to the Bobcats

The Detroit Pistons have acquired forward Walter Herrmann and center Primoz Brezec from the Bobcats for center Nazr Mohammed. This will be a good trade for both teams as the Bobcats really needed a center and Mohammed was in the Dog House in Detroit. Herrmann is a sharp shooter from long range. He has played in 3 games for the Pistons so far this season and he is averaging 6.0 minutes, 3.3 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. He has now played in 20 games this season for the Bobcats and Pistons and he is averaging 9.6 minutes, 3.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Primoz Brezec has played in 7 games for the Pistons this season and he is averaging 6.9 minutes, 1.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Brezec has now played in 27 games (18 starts) this season for the Pistons and Bobcats and he is averaging 11.7 minutes, 1.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.

The rookies on the Detroit Pistons aren’t doing much this season

The Pistons have high hopes for guards Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo but they haven’t played very much this season. Stuckey was the player the Pistons really had high hopes for but he has been injured most of the season. He has only played in 3 games this season and he’s averaging 9.7 minutes, 3.0 points, 1.0 rebound and 2.0 assists per game because he’s only shooting 28.6% from the floor. Arron Afflalo has played decent in his limited time on the basketball court. Afflalo has played in 26 games this season and he is averaging 12.5 minutes, 3.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game. He has shot pretty well as a rookie so far as he has made 46.2% of his shots from the floor and 89.3% of his free throws. Center Cheick Samb has played in 2 games for the Pistons this season and he’s averaging 10.0 minutes, 1.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 block per game.
