Cleveland Cavaliers 109, Detroit Pistons 107 in Double OT
The Pistons couldn’t stop LeBron James no matter what they tried last night. James scored 25 straight points for the Cavs at one point and he scored 29 of their last 30 to down the Pistons last night. He finished with 48 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists against the Pistons last night in a legendary performance. Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 26 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists on 7 of 18 shooting from the floor. Chauncey Billups also had a decent game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Chris Webber finally had a good game with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Rasheed Wallace had a poor shooting game (4 for 13 from the floor) and finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Tayshaun Prince also had a poor game with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists as he shot 4 of 13 from the floor and appeared intimidated by LeBron James last night. Antonio McDyess only played 4 minutes and he scored 2 points and grabbed 1 rebound before getting kicked out of the game for closelining Anderson Varejao. It’s possible that McDyess could be suspended for a game due to the cheap shot. The Cavs are now up 3 games to 2 on the Pistons as the series shifts to Cleveland on Saturday Night.
