The Pistons couldn’t stop LeBron James no matter what they tried last night.  James scored 25 straight points for the Cavs at one point and he scored 29 of their last 30 to down the Pistons last night.  He finished with 48 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists against the Pistons last night in a legendary performance.  Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 26 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists on 7 of 18 shooting from the floor.  Chauncey Billups also had a decent game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.  Chris Webber finally had a good game with 20 points and 7 rebounds.  Rasheed Wallace had a poor shooting game (4 for 13 from the floor) and finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.  Tayshaun Prince also had a poor game with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists as he shot 4 of 13 from the floor and appeared intimidated by LeBron James last night.  Antonio McDyess only played 4 minutes and he scored 2 points and grabbed 1 rebound before getting kicked out of the game for closelining Anderson Varejao.  It’s possible that McDyess could be suspended for a game due to the cheap shot.  The Cavs are now up 3 games to 2 on the Pistons as the series shifts to Cleveland on Saturday Night.

This was a good game but the Cavs took over in the 4th quarter as they outscored the Pistons 26-20 to win the game.  Chauncey Billups had his best game of the series as he led the way for the Pistons with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists.  Richard Hamilton also had a good game with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists.  Tayshaun Prince had a good game on offense as he scored 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.  Antonio McDyess had a solid game off of the bench with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots.  The Pistons were hurt by the fact that Rasheed Wallace and Chris Webber both had bad games.  Rasheed Wallace scored 9 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, stole the ball 3 times and blocked 3 shots.  Chris Webber was pathetic in his 20 minutes on the court as he finished up with 2 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.  The Pistons are now tied 2-2 in this series as it shifts back to Detroit.

The Pistons were winning this game 63-62 heading into the 4th quarter, but then the Cavs took over outscoring the Pistons 26-19 to win the game.  Rasheed Wallace led the way for the Pistons with 16 points and 5 rebounds.  Chris Webber also had a solid game with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.  Tayshaun Prince had a decent game on offense with 13 points and 5 rebounds, but LeBron James dominated him as he scored 32 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 9 assists last night.  Chauncey Billups (13 points, 3 assists) and Richard Hamilton (7 points, 4 assists) shot a combined 6 for 22 from the floor as the Cavs’ guards pushed the Pistons pair around all night long.  Antonio McDyess (8 points, 9 rebounds) and Flip Murray (8 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists) both played well off the bench for the Pistons.  The Pistons still lead this series 2-1 over the Cavs.

The Pistons fell behind 50-38 in the first half but they came alive in the 2nd half and outscored Cleveland 41-26 to win the game.  Rasheed Wallace played an outstanding game as he scored 16 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots.  Wallace also hit the eventual game-winning shot which was an off balance shot along the baseline.  Jason Maxiell was a monster off of the bench with 15 points and 6 rebounds in only 22 minutes on the floor.  Richard Hamilton had a bad shooting night (5 of 14) but he still finished with 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.  Chauncey Billups had a decent game with 13 points and 6 assists.  Chris Webber had a bad shooting night (4 of 13) and he finished with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.  Tayshaun Prince did a good job of defending LeBron James, but he had a hard time with his offense.  Prince was 0 for 8 from the floor and he finished with only 1 point, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.  The Pistons are now up 2-0 in this series as it shifts back to Cleveland.

The Pistons played good defense all night long and that’s the reason they won the game last night.  The Pistons held the Cavs to 37.2% shooting from the floor last night!   Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 24 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists.  Rasheed Wallace also had a huge game with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 7 blocked shots.  Chauncey Billups did a decent job of running the offense with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.  Chris Webber didn’t play too well as he finished with 10 points and 4 rebounds.  Webber also had huge problems trying to defend Ilgauskas close to the basket.  Tayshaun Prince played great defense on LeBron James, but he was awful on offense as he was only 1 for 11 from the floor.  He finished up with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists.   The Pistons now hold a 1-0 lead in this series.
