The Pistons have acquired Juan Dixon from the Raptors for center Primoz Brezec. Dixon should play o.k. for the Pistons if he can get enough playing time to get into a groove. Dixon played in 36 games (0 starts) this season for the Raptors and he averaged 11.8 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He has now played in 369 games (71 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 9.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Primoz Brezec played in 37 games (18 starts) this season for the Bobcats and Pistons. In those games, Brezec averaged 9.9 minutes, 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Both of these players needed new starts and the trade could benefit both of them.

He has now played in 20 games this season for the Bobcats and Pistons and he is averaging 9.6 minutes, 3.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. Primoz Brezec has played in 7 games for the Pistons this season and he is averaging 6.9 minutes, 1.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. First round pick Rodney Stuckey will miss the next six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a broken left hand. The Pistons were prepared to go into the season with Stuckey as the #3 guard to open the year. Stuckey played in 8 pre-season games (2 starts) and he averaged 12.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.3 steals in 25.8 minutes per game. The Pistons don’t usually play their young players much so they must really like Stuckey. It will be interesting to see if he will be the first guard off of the bench when he’s ready to return.
