Tayshaun Prince is what he is for the Detroit Pistons
30-year old forward Tayshaun Prince always seemed a tad overrated to me. Sure, he’s a pretty good defensive player but his contributions on offense are below par for a starting small forward in the NBA. Prince has played in 15 games (all starts) for the Pistons this season and he is averaging 32.3 minutes, 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He has now played in 598 games (559 starts) in his 9 years in the NBA and he is averaging 33.4 minutes, 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. The Pistons would be smart to deal Prince this season and give his minutes to some of the younger players on the roster as they are now in a rebuilding mode.
