The Pistons got outscored 34-9 in the 4th quarter last night and they only shot 37.8% from the floor which are the reasons for this shocking loss. Ben Gordon led the way for the Pistons last night with 21 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist in 28 minutes off the bench. Rodney Stuckey filled up the stat sheet with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot last night. Tayshaun Prince (15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Charlie Villanueva (15 points, 2 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) also helped out for the Pistons last night. The Pistons are now 0-3 on the year.

The Pistons played hard tonight but it just wasn’t good enough to win. Ben Gordon led the way for the Pistons tonight with 32 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 31 minutes off the bench. Rodney Stuckey had a great game tonight as he looked like a real point guard. He finished with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists tonight. Richard Hamilton (14 points), Charlie Villanueva (12 points) and Tayshaun Prince (12 points) also helped out offensively tonight. The Pistons are now 0-2 on the year.

The Pistons had 7 different players score in double figures tonight but they were outrebounded 44-37 and it hurt them in this game. Tayshaun Prince (14 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist), Rodney Stuckey (14 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists) and Charlie Villanueva (14 points and 3 rebounds) led the way for the Pistons tonight. Richard Hamilton (13 points), Ben Gordon (12 points), Jason Maxiell (11 points) and Will Bynum (10 points) also pitched in offensively for the Pistons tonight. Still this is a bad way to start the season losing to a team that won only 12 games last year. The Pistons are now 0-1 on the year.

The over/under for Detroit Pistons wins in 2010-11 is 30.5

The Pistons were 27-55 last season despite dealing with a lot of injuries and the poor performances of Ben Gordon & Charlie Villanueva.  For the Pistons to improve this year they need Tayshaun Prince & Richard Hamilton to both stay healthy.  They also need Villanueva & Gordon to step up and earn their paycheck this year.  The Pistons are still not a good team and I would have to side with making a bet on the under.  The Pistons are 150-1 to win the NBA Championship and I don’t even think any of the parents of these players would make a bet on that.

John Kuester is hoping for improvement out of the Detroit Pistons in 2010-11

55-year old head coach John Kuester is hoping for good health of his players this year which would likely lead to an improvement in the win/loss column.  The Pistons were 27-55 (32.9%) in Kuester’s first year with the Pistons.  I don’t think Kuester is over his head I just think that last season he kept coming to a gun fight with a butter knife due to the roster he had to go to war with.  Hopefully he’ll be able to coach up the Pistons a little bit this year.
