Charlie Villanueva was a bust this year for the Detroit Pistons

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 26 March 2010 at 6:03 pm

Forward Charlie Villanueva was one of the big ticket free agents the Pistons brought in to boost the offense but he has failed. He has played in 68 games (16 starts) for the Pistons this season and he is averaging 24.1 minutes, 12.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. He is also only shooting 43.5% from the floor which is really pathetic for a big man. Villanueva is probably laughing all the way to the bank when he’s cashing checks from the Pistons.

Wow, this is cutting edge journalism. Whats next?? Charlie V has no hair on his head.
One bad injury plagued season I can live with. He’ll be better next season.

We’ll see if he will be better. He’s always been a soft player whose heart has always been questioned. It was a poor signing for the Pistons, period.
