The Pistons fell behind 40-23 after one quarter but they didn’t give up shooting 51.4% from the floor and that was a good sign. Charlie Villanueva led the way for the Pistons in this game with 28 points and 5 rebounds in only 30 minutes on the court. Rodney Stuckey also had a really solid game with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Ben Gordon only shot 5 of 17 from the floor yet he still finished with 19 points and 5 assists. The Pistons are now 2-4 on the season.

The Pistons just couldn’t keep up with the Raptors last night in Toronto. Ben Gordon did his part as he finished with 30 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. Will Bynum was solid off the bench for the Pistons last night with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists in 33 minutes. The Pistons are now 2-3 on the season.

Ben Wallace is proving so far that he has something left for the Detroit Pistons

Ben Wallace has bumped Kwame Brown to the bench so far this season which has been somewhat of a surprise. Wallace has played in 3 games (all starts) for the Pistons this season and he is averaging 32.7 minutes, 4.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per game. It’s good to see the big man back in the middle for the Pistons but it seems as if more teams are running this season which means the Pistons might need more points out of the center position at some point in the near future.

Milwaukee Bucks 96, Detroit Pistons 85

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Game Recaps, Front Page by alleyoop on Sunday 1 November 2009 at 8:46 am

The Pistons got punished 36-14 in the third quarter and 45-37 on the boards by the Bucks last night and those were the two big reasons for this loss. Ben Gordon led the way for the Pistons in this game with 26 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Rodney Stuckey pitched in with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists but he was abused a lot by rookie Brandon Jennings of the Bucks who dropped 24 points on the Pistons last night. Tayshaun Prince (12 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists) and Charlie Villanueva (12 points, 6 rebounds in 24 minutes) both helped out a little bit last night. The Pistons should not be losing to teams like the Bucks, period! They are now 1-2 on the season.
