The Pistons outrebounded the Hawks 53-27 last night and it was a huge factor in a very impressive win. Rodney Stuckey led the way for the Pistons in this game with 23 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. Will Bynum was solid again off the bench for the Pistons finishing with 19 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists. Ben Wallace was a beast around the basket in this game as he scored 10 points, grabbed 18 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and he stole the ball twice. The Pistons are now 6-11 on the year.

The Detroit Pistons need more out of Rodney Stuckey

The job of a point guard is to run a offense and make the other players on the team better. Rodney Stuckey is not a pure point guard with a pass first mentality but he needs to quit shooting so much when his shot is off like it is right now as he is only shooting 39% from the floor so far this season. Stuckey has played in 16 games (all starts) for the Pistons so far this season and he is averaging 37.7 minutes, 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Basically, the Pistons need Stuckey to pass the ball more instead of heaving up more than his fair share of bricks.

Los Angeles Clippers 104, Detroit Pistons 96

The Pistons only shot 39.6% from the floor last night while the Clippers shot 58.7% which explains the loss last night. Rookie forward Jonas Jerebko led the way for the Pistons last night with 22 points and 5 rebounds in 34 minutes on the court. Rodney Stuckey also had a solid game with 21 points and 7 assists last night. Will Bynum had a terrible shooting night hitting only 4 of 17 shots from the floor but he still finished up with 14 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists. The Pistons are now 5-11 on the year.

The Pistons didn’t shoot well (39.2% FGs) and they didn’t defend too well as the Cavs shot 50% from the floor explaining the loss. Rodney Stuckey led the way for the Pistons last night with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals but he didn’t have any assists which is bad for a point guard. Charlie Villanueva also had a solid game with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Jason Maxiell pitched in with 10 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench. The Pistons are now 5-10 on the year.
