Antonio McDyess is stepping up for the Detroit Pistons

Antonio McDyess has moved into the starting lineup this season and he’s doing an outstanding job. McDyess has played 11 games for the Pistons so far this season and he’s averaging 30.3 minutes, 11.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He also is shooting an amazing 59.2% so far this season.

Detroit Pistons 111, Golden State Warriors 104

The Pistons outscored the Warriors 60-40 in the 2nd half of the game and they also shot 53% from the floor for the game. Those were the two big reasons for a nice road win. Rasheed Wallace led the way for the Pistons with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Richard Hamilton (22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists) and Tayshaun Prince (22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists) both also had good games. But, Antonio McDyess and Chauncey Billups missed last night’s game and there replacements stepped up big time. Jason Maxiell started at power forward and all he did was score 14 points, grab 14 rebounds, dish out 5 assists and block 3 shots. Flip Murray started at point guard and he scored 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 12 assists. The Pistons are now 6-2 on the season.

Portland Trailblazers 102, Detroit Pistons 94

The Pistons were outscored 28-20 in th 4th quarter by the Blazers and they didn’t play any defense as the Blazers hit 54.8% from the floor as a team. Tayshaun Prince led the way for the Pistons with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Chauncey Billups did a great job of running the offense with 19 points, 9 assists and 2 steals. Rasheed Wallace also had a good game with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The Pistons are now 5-2 on the season.

Detroit Pistons 107, Seattle Supersonics 103

The Pistons held off the pesky Sonics in this game. Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 32 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Antonio McDyess was a beast in the paint with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Rasheed Wallace also had another solid game with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. The Pistons are now 5-1 on the season.

Detroit Pistons 103, Los Angeles Clippers 79

The Pistons outrebounded the Clippers 53-33 and they held the Clippers to 35.1% shooting from the floor and those were the two big reasons for the ease of this victory. Chauncey Billups led the way for the Pistons with 23 points and 5 assists. Nazr Mohammed had a good game off of the bench with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in only 24 minutes. Antonio McDyess also had a solid game with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. The Pistons improved to 4-1 on the season with this win.
