The Detroit Pistons re-sign forward Amir Johnson
The Pistons have re-signed power forward Amir Johnson to a three year, $12 million dollar contract. Johnson only played in 8 games (0 starts) for the Pistons last season and he averaged 15.5 minutes, 5.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists and blocked 1.6 shots per game. He shot 54.5% from the floor and 78.6% from the free throw line. Johnson was dominant in the Developmental League and that was the reason for the nice paycheck he will receive. He played in 22 games for Sioux Falls last season and he averaged 35.1 minutes, 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.1 blocks per game. Look for Johnson to get a lot more playing time this season for the Pistons as it appears that he is very talented.
