The Detroit Pistons select guard Rodney Stuckey in the first round
With Chauncey Billups a free agent the Pistons felt the need to get some guard help and that they did when they selected Rodney Stuckey of Eastern Washington in the first round. Stuckey has got good size at 6′5″, 205 pounds and he can get the ball in the basket. Stuckey played in 59 games at Eastern Washington and he averaged 24.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game. He also is a good shooter from anywhere on the basketball court as he hit 47.2% from the floor, 31.7% from the three point line and 80.6% from the free throw line in college. If Billups leaves, the Pistons might start Stuckey at point guard. If Billups returns, look for the Pistons to use Stuckey like they used to use Vinnie “Microwave” Johnson off of the bench.
