The Detroit Pistons started slowly in the first half last night and then they exploded and outscored the Bulls 52-37 in the second half to pull away from the Bulls.  The Pistons also outrebounded the Bulls 48-35 and that was a huge key in the outcome.  Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.  Chauncey Billups was only 3 for 12 from the floor, but he still finished up with 21 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists.  Tayshaun Prince had a solid game with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.  Rasheed Wallace had his best game of this series with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists.  Niether Chris Webber or Antonio McDyess shot well out of the center slot (3 for 11) for the Pistons, but they still combined with 10 points and 19 rebounds.  The Pistons have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals after eliminating the Bulls 4 games to 2.

The Bulls just took it to the Pistons from the opening tip until the last second last night!  The Pistons allowed the Bulls to hit over 70% of their shots in the first half and 57.3% for the game and it’s hard to win when you play that poorly on defense.  Chauncey Billups led the way for the Pistons with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists.  Richard Hamilton finished up with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists but he was abused on defense by the Bulls.  Rasheed Wallace added 15 points and 5 rebounds.  Tayshaun Prince also had a sub-par game with only 11 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.  Antonio McDyess (12 points, 3 rebounds) and Chris Webber (9 points, 8 rebounds) each pitched in a little bit on the inside.  The Pistons are still up 3-2 heading back to Chicago.

The Pistons looked like a team on cruise control yesterday as the Chicago Bulls pushed them around on the basketball court.  The Bulls were up 77-56 after three quarters and then they cruised to victory.  The Pistons only shot 37.3% from the floor and they were outrebounded 51-33 by the Bulls, and those were two big reasons for the Pistons’ loss.  Chauncey Billups only shot 5 of 14 from the floor, but he still finished with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists.  Tayshaun Prince was also active with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.  Rasheed Wallace was heaving up bricks all day long (4 of 16) as he finished up with 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Richard Hamilton had a lousy game as he only shot 4 of 12 from the floor and he wound up with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.  Flip Murray added offense off of the bench with 10 points and 2 assists in only 23 minutes.  The Pistons got nothing out of their center position as Chris Webber (0 points, 17 minutes) and Antonio McDyess (5 points, 8 rebounds, 29 minutes) didn’t help the Pistons much.  The Pistons are still up 3-1 on the Bulls in this series.

Things were looking bad for the Pistons at the half as they were down 44-28!  But the Pistons made adjustments and dominated the Bulls in the 2nd half (53-30) and they rode the hot half to victory.  The Pistons played great defense all game long as they held the Bulls to 33.7% from the floor.  The Pistons were outrebounded 60-43, but it didn’t matter.  Tayshaun Prince led the way for the Pistons with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.  Chauncey Billups had another outstanding game running the offense with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists.  Rasheed Wallace had one of his best games in a long time with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocked shots.  Richard Hamilton was busy with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.  Chris Webber had a night to forget as he was 0 for 5 from the floor and finished with 0 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 24 mintues.  It was only the 2nd time in Webber’s NBA career that he was held scoreless.  Antonio McDyess would up with 3 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 30 minutes on the floor.  The Pistons now have a commanding 3-0 lead on the Bulls in this series.

The Pistons completely dominated the Bulls for a 2nd straight game.  The Pistons held the Bulls to 34.3% shooting from the floor while they shot 52.6%!  The Pistons also outrebounded the Bulls 51-30 and the Bulls never had a chance in the game last night.  Tayshaun Prince led the way for the Pistons with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.  Richard Hamilton pushed Ben Gordon around last night with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.  Chris Webber was outstanding as he hit 10 of 11 shots from the floor and he finished up with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.  Chauncey Billups was a little off on his shooting (4 of 11) but he still wound up with 14 points and 10 assists.  Rasheed Wallace only played 18 minutes last night but he still scored 10 points and snatched 7 rebounds.  The Pistons are now up 2-0 on the Bulls in this series.
