Pistons beat Mavericks 92-82

The Pistons went on the road and won in a tough place.  Tayshaun Prince led the way on offense with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals.  Rasheed Wallace was tough around the basket with 19 points & 9 rebounds.  Richard Hamilton added 15 points and 5 rebounds.  Chauncey Billups had a decent game with 12 points, 11 assists and 5 steals.

The Pistons improved to 12-7 with this win.

Pistons fall at home 88-85 to Blazers

The Pistons looked flat on Tuesday Night as the Blazers pulled a big upset in Detroit.  The Pistons were beaten on the boards by the Blazers!!!!  The Blazers out-rebounded the Pistons 45-36 and appeared to want the game more than Detroit did. 

Richard Hamilton led the way with 25 points and 4 assists.  Chauncey Billups had a decent game directing the offense with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists.  Flip Murray added 11 points.  Tayshaun Prince scored 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.

The Pistons fell to 11-7 on the season.

Prince will always be a good defensive player, but the Pistons have to be thrilled with the improvement he’s showing on offense.  Prince is averaging 17.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game so far this season.  Prince is shooting 50.7% from the floor and 49.1% (27-55) from 3-point range.  The offense will be deadly in the playoffs for the Pistons if Prince came keep this up.

Pistons split games this weekend

The Pistons beat the Knicks 108-100 on Friday at home and then flew to Charlotte and got beat 97-89 by the Bobcats on Sunday.

Tayshaun Prince had a really good weekend as he averaged 24.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.  Richard Hamilton pitched in with 21.5 points per game.  Chauncey Billups did a good job of directing the attack with 18.0 points and 11.5 assists per game.  Rasheed Wallace was busy near the basket with 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game.

The Pistons are sitting at 11-6 on the season.

Pistons nip the Heat 87-85

Richard Hamilton led the way for the Pistons with 24 points last night.  Tayshaun Prince had 12 points and 8 rebounds.  Chauncey Billups added 11 points and 7 assists.  Flip Murray had 10 points and 4 rebounds.  Rasheed Wallace (8 points, 9 rebounds) and Nazr Mohammad (8 points, 8 rebounds) each were tough around the basket.

The Pistons have now won 7 games in a row and have improved their record to 10-5 on the season.
