Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Sunday 17 December 2006 at 3:19 am

The Pistons played great defense last night and that’s why they won.  The Pistons held the Nets to 37.2% shooting from the floor and outscored them 21-13 in the 4th quarter to seal the victory.

Chauncey Billups had a great night as he scored 27 points, dished out 11 assists and stole the ball 5 times.  Richard Hamilton also had a good game with 26 points and 5 rebounds.  The Pistons dusted off veteran Dale Davis and let him play 25 minutes.  He responded by scoring 4 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, stole the ball 3 times and blocked 2 shots.

The Pistons improved to 14-8 on the season with this win.

Rasheed Wallace giving Pistons what they need

Blogged under Steppin Up, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Saturday 16 December 2006 at 6:28 pm

The Pistons new that when they lost Ben Wallace that they were going to need more help around the basket for rebounding and defense.  Rasheed Wallace has moved quite a bit closer to the basket, especially on defense and the results are paying off for the Pistons.  Wallace is averaging 13.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.0 blocks per game so far this season.  He has also hit an amazing 40% of his three-point shots so far this season.

Wallace’s unselfish play has been unbelievable since he has become a Detroit Piston.  That’s what makes this “team” so tough is how unselfish they play the game.

Rookie guard hasn’t seen court

Blogged under Rookie Report, Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 12 December 2006 at 11:10 pm

Rookie guard Will Blalock hasn’t got to play yet for the Pistons.  He probably won’t get much of a chance with the veteran Pistons to do much of anything this season.
